2. Mycah Pittman, Wide Receiver

I mentioned earlier the production lost by the departure of Dillon Mitchell would leave for the 2019 season. Mitchell finished with 1,184 receiving yards which was 36 percent of the total receiving production from a season ago. The next leading receiver, Jaylon Redd finished with 433 yards and laid claim to only 13 percent of the receiving production in 2019. Oregon hit the recruiting trail hard to find a playmaker in the passing game and the prospect they came out with is Mycah Pittman.

Pittman hails from Calabasas, California where he was the No. 17 in-state recruit. Much of Oregon’s success this season came out of California where they landed seven of their top 50 players. Pittman is just over six-foot and close to 200 pounds. He is built like a running back, runs like a running back, but he catches the ball like a tight end. He has the speed to beat out most corners and is aggressive when going after contested passes or 50/50 balls.

247Sports.com recruiting analyst Greg Biggins compares Pittman to Jarvis Landry and feels that he is a future NFL player. He’s incredibly competitive and will not only fight for time this season but fight to start as well. On top of his receiving ability, he is a very talented return man and showed that off in high school on both punt and kick returns. Pittman isn’t as tall as Mitchell, but his competitive instincts will make him an interesting prospect going into the Fall.

And Oregon’s most impactful recruit for the 2019 season is…
