Last Chance U may have to find a new school to film for Season 5 after Indy CC head coach Jason Brown’s controversial resignation.

If you tuned in to Last Chance U last season, you would have realized the popular Netflix docuseries changed programs from East Mississippi Community College in Seasons 1 and 2 to Independence Community College in Season 3.

The show followed outspoken, and sometimes controversial, head coach Buddy Stephens for the first two seasons to the ever-edgy Jason Brown in the third installment of the series.

It was clear that drama was the No. 1 priority as both head coaches had plenty of it, but the latter is now resigning because, well, too much of it followed him. According to reports, he’s resigning from his head coaching position at Indy C.C. because he texted a German player that he was his new Hitler.

Things don’t get much more distasteful, and for those who watched Season 3, you probably already know Brown isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers and say some ugly things in the process. He’s gotten into it with teammates, opposing coaches and even his own assistants and this is just the latest bridge burned.

There are some things you just don’t say and Brown consistently fired off comments that would be deemed controversial. This one just happened to cost him his job.

What does this mean for the rest of the Last Chance U series moving forward? Well, Season 4 is already filmed and took place at Indy C.C. and that means the show will have to look for another program to follow in Season 5. Will it head back to Scooba, Miss., and check in on Stephens and his national championship-winning team?
