NFL Draft 2019: Top 10 bust-proof prospects entering NFL combine
By Shelbie Warr
Now that offseason is upon us, the focus has become the NFL Combine and NFL draft. Which 10 players are topping draft boards across the nation?
I am going to start by saying this: this isn’t the draft order that I am anticipating or anything of that nature. These are simply the top 10 prospects that truly seem “bust-proof” so to speak heading into the NFL Combine in just a a few days. You won’t even see a quarterback on this list, so let’s clear that up now.
No quarterback is bust-proof. They are all questionable until proven otherwise.
So, this is a get to know you of sorts for those guys you really should keep an eye on at the Combine because you will be hearing their names quite a bit in the coming seasons if you watch the NFL. Without further ado, let’s talk prospects.
The only offensive lineman on this list, Jonah Williams has earned the praise that he has garnered without a doubt in my mind. Just look what Tua Tagovailoa was able to pull off with him lining up as the Tide’s left tackle — the kid nearly won a Heisman and yet another national title. You can make the argument about how little the word “almost” means in the world of sports, but when you’re Alabama that doesn’t even matter.
He is so fundamentally sound in all of his movements and his hands always seem to be in the right place at the right time. He’s quick on his feet and efficient as a blocker for the run.
If there is anyone who may be NFL-ready off the bat, it’s Williams with his quick feet. He may be smaller in terms of size and length than a normal tackle, but this kid is going to be able to pull his weight with the best of him.
