A second non-Power Five team that went 3-9 last year appears on the schedule for Notre Dame in the first half of the season and this time it’s the Bowling Green Falcons who struggled in MAC play a year ago and don’t have much firepower.

On top of that, the Falcons had one of the worst defenses in college football last year, ranking No. 109 in the country in terms of yards allowed per game with 450. With that poor of a defense, you can expect Notre Dame to just go off.

Playing in South Bend, the Irish will put on a show for their home fans with their highest offensive output of the season and they’ll play some stellar defense, too.

Ian Book’s Heisman campaign will get more recognition after another big game, passing for over 300 yards and not playing the entire fourth quarter — it’s time we see some Phil Jurkovec.

The tone will be set early on as the Irish score on their second play from scrimmage and it’ll be all Notre Dame after that.

Final Score: Bowling Green 9, Notre Dame 52 (4-1)
