James Franklin went into the state of Michigan and stole another one of its top recruits. It seems to be a trend as the Nittany Lions swiped KJ Hamler from the Great Lakes State and nearly got Lavert Hill back in 2016 but Michigan flipped him from Penn State at the last second.

Lance Dixon is one of the most talented players from the state of Michigan and one of the top linebackers in the class.

The West Bloomfield, Mich., native is ranked the No. 179 player in the class and ninth-best outside linebacker as well as the fifth-best player from Michigan, according to 247Sports.

Penn State has a good young core of linebackers, but they will need some depth and that’s where a talented early enrollee like Dixon comes into play.
