Clemson football reeled in a talented crop of incoming freshmen in its 2019 class and here’s who could have an immediate impact for the Tigers.
A 15-0 season would be enough for most programs to be content for years, but Clemson football is not like most programs, especially under Dabo Swinney.
The Tigers won the national title just last season by walloping Alabama in the championship, winning their second title in the past three years. The program has gone from above average to a darn-near dynasty under Swinney and it doesn’t look like that rise to the top is going to slow down any time soon.
In fact, Clemson reeled in one of the nation’s top recruiting classes for 2019 and it has guys who can come in and contribute right away.
Which incoming freshmen could have an immediate impact for Clemson in 2019?
Clemson is losing plenty of pieces on the defensive side of the ball, including Tre’ Lamar and Kendall Joseph from the linebacking corps.
That opens up an opportunity for a guy like Bryton Constantin to come in and have an immediate impact at outside linebacker. He’s a 6-foot-2.5, 207-pound backer (depending on which recruiting site you trust) from Louisiana who could afford to add some weight in order to adjust well to the collegiate level, but he’s aggressive and quick sideline-to-sideline.
Constantin could be the perfect blitzing linebacker as he’s so good at getting into the backfield, slicing through openings in the offensive line like butter.
Although he’s not an early enrollee, Constantin is the type of talented linebacker that could burn that redshirt and play immediately.
