4. No more hangover from a big game to the one after

Don’t try and tell me that this isn’t a thing because I will argue with you. As an Aggie fan myself, all I have seen year after year is the hangover from playing Alabama. For Kentucky, that hangover came from losing to Georgia. They followed that loss up with a 24-7 beatdown by Tennessee to end SEC play in November of last year.

“Not a very good effort,” UK coach Mark Stoops said after the game. “Really starts with me and really ends with me. Didn’t have the team prepared. Not a good enough job by myself and I’ve gotta accept that responsibility, get back to work and do some things differently and try to get a better result.”

Whoever is to blame, that kind of hangover will not be acceptable in 2019 for the Wildcats. Losing to Georgia, sure maybe the fans can accept that and be okay with another New Years Six appearance that is not the National Championship. Just maybe.

This season it will be Missouri they host after going on the road to Athens to face Georgia. Missouri beat Florida after losing to Georgia, so the Tigers have already taken advantage of the hangover for one team and has the ability to do it again- especially with Kelly Bryant as the quarterback.
