I’ll admit it, I’ve been high on Demetris Robertson since he decided to commit to Cal as a high school senior and I still think he has big things in store. He didn’t do much in his first year with the Bulldogs despite being immediately eligible. In fact, he didn’t catch a single pass, rather he rushed four times for 109 yards and a touchdown.

If that doesn’t go to show just how explosive this kid is, I don’t know what will.

Transferring late from one program to another, no matter how good a player you are, makes for a major adjustment period. That’s what Robertson faced in 2018 as he was just learning an entirely new offense and playbook, so he knew his role would be reduced early on.

Now that he has a year of SEC play and a learned playbook under his belt, he can get into the action and contribute at a high level.

Robertson is one of the fastest players in college football and he could be a menace for opposing defenses in the SEC. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t one of the top receivers on the team in 2019.
