The H-back position will be occupied again this season by the talented KJ Hill who finished second on the team in receiving last season behind only Parris Campbell, but that doesn’t mean a kid like Jaelen Gill can’t crack the rotation.

Gill, an Ohio-native, was also one of the most sought-after recruits in the Buckeyes’ 2018 class as a top-30 player in the nation, but he didn’t play much in his first season. He was redshirted after playing just one game with a catch for 11 yards.

That’s great news for Ohio State, especially Ryan Day, seeing as Gill has all the talent in the world and even though he came to Columbus as one of the top running backs in the nation, he has shown the ability to catch passes and will do plenty of that in 2019.

Day has voiced his opinion on Gill’s growth this spring and stated that he reminds him of Hill, a bit, but he will be seeing plenty of action this fall.

There’s a rising star in Columbus and he might be one of the most talented offensive players the Buckeyes have on the roster at any position.
