If you’re an Ohio State fan and you’re not excited about Justin Fields, you may not have much of a pulse.

Fields is a transfer from Georgia who was ranked as the top quarterback in the 2018 class and the No. 2 prospect in the country. He sat behind Jake Fromm as a freshman but decided it was time for him to go somewhere that he could play immediately and not have to wait for the guy ahead of his to graduate.

Luckily, Ohio State was losing Dwayne Haskins a year early to the NFL and Tate Martell hadn’t locked up the starting job yet. So Ohio State it was for Fields.

On top of that, he was granted immediate eligibility and forced a Martell transfer — that’s just how talented this kid is.

You can bet everyone involved in the Ohio State program is focused on watching this kid grow this spring and learn the playbook and it’d be a shock if he didn’t break out as one of the nation’s top dual-threats.
