4. Can Michigan get over the Ohio State hump?

This seems to be the question that almost always seems to resurface prior to the start of each new season. The discussion, although sounding like a broken record, appears to yet again be relevant to this year.

After last season’s second-half debacle, it’s hard to imagine that the loss sits pretty with players, coaches and fans alike.

Michigan hasn’t taken down the Buckeyes since 2011 in the storied rivalry, but the Wolverines have the opportunity to flip the script and capitalize on the game being played at home for the upcoming season.

For the Wolverines, the defeat at the hands of the Buckeyes was especially deflating because it sealed their second-place fate in the Big Ten East division. For all intents and purposes, it was a must-win game to punch their ticket to Indianapolis.

Not only has Ohio State been a thorn in Michigan’s side but the team has also never qualified for Big Ten Championship game since its creation in 2011.

Since it and Ohio State are both in the East division, the Wolverines must surpass the Buckeyes if they want to compete for the conference title.
