If Bru McCoy’s recruitment was a ride at a theme park, it most definitely would be a rollercoaster. The incoming freshman has enrolled at Texas and this comes as a surprise seeing as he was a USC student just a couple of months ago.

Let’s just run down the timeline of McCoy in the month of January.

First, he signed his letter of intent at USC on Jan. 6 and then two days later, he enrolled. On Jan. 24, he de-committed from USC and the next day, he committed to Texas and signed his letter of intent. Just two days later, he enrolled at Texas and is already on campus for spring ball.

If that’s not an incredible change of heart — and scenery — in a span of three weeks, I don’t know what is.

All that matters now, though, is that McCoy is at Texas and he’s developing an impressive rapport with his teammates and Sam Ehlinger. The No. 9 recruit in the 2019 class and top athlete will get a chance to play immediately at receiver and the hype surrounding him is immense.

Keep an eye on him as an immediate breakout candidate not only this spring but as a freshman in 2019.
