What can we say about Arkansas’ aerial attack in 2018 other than the fact it was tough to watch? Really there are no other words to describe the passing game than ugly.

Chad Morris, an offensive guru, was expected to lead Arkansas’ offense back to relevance, but the quarterback situation was ugly, to say the very least. All that should change this season with Ben Hicks and Nick Starkel transferring in, which is great news for a talented kid like Michael Woods.

As a true freshman, Woods didn’t quite get the love he deserved because of the quarterback situation, catching just 18 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown. If you can believe it, those numbers were good for third-best on the team.

The 6-1, 190-pound freshman saw plenty of action, but caught the fifth-most passes on the team, but he made the most of it with his 206 yards. He probably should have been targeted more, but you know, Ty Storey and Cole Kelley were mediocre, to say the least.

Watch for Woods to have a huge spring and potentially ease into the No. 1 receiver role, especially with La’Michael Pettway transferring from the program.
