2019 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks rising in first round of NFL Draft
By Phil Poling
The Denver Broncos could go any number of ways with the No. 10 pick. John Elway seems content with the acquisition of Joe Flacco at quarterback, though, allowing them to draft Washington’s Byron Murphy with their first pick.
Murphy could see immediate playing with the Broncos, especially with the departure of Bradley Roby. They did add Kareem Jackson, but he could see a move to strong safety, freeing up the Husky product for snaps at the nickel position.
The 5-foot-11 Husky isn’t as tall or fast as LSU’s Greedy Williams, but he plays a different style of football, a more physical brand. He’ll be able to seamlessly fill in at the vacated nickel spot Roby left behind, playing the run and pass at a high level. He’s got great short-area quickness, but Murphy’s speed almost relegates him to an inside corner spot.
