On Saturday, April 13, Michigan football will be putting on its annual spring game. What should we be watching for with the Wolverines?
The Michigan Wolverines will hold their annual spring game on April 13. There has already been some buzz about head coach Jim Harbaugh not running a traditional spring game. He would be smart in doing so this season. He has finally brought in Josh Gattis from Alabama to run the offense and to shake things up in Ann Arbor.
We want to touch on the three most important things to watch for during our first real look at what this offense could look like under Gattis’ leadership. Harbaugh is taking a refreshing approach by bringing in the 35 year old offensive coordinator. He is giving Gattis full control, which is something Harbaugh has never done as a head coach.
Most of Jim Harbaugh’s four-year tenure at Michigan has been filled with turmoil and underachievement. The hype train has died down after not beating Ohio State one time since he’s been there. Shaking things up seems to be the route Harbaugh wants to take in making sure that this season will have a much different outcome than the last four.
As Harbaugh knows when you coach at Michigan there is a certain level of expectation that goes along with wearing that big maize ‘M’ on your hat. We think Harbaugh is ready to really start making some noise in Ann Arbor and here are three things we are watching for come Saturday.
We will see if his offseason moves prove to be the difference makers in beating those bitter rivals from Ohio this fall. So let’s dive in and see what the 2019 Michigan Wolverines have to offer.
