2. Early enrollees stepping up

There are eight early enrollees on the team this spring and you could see quite a few of them step up and make some noise in this year’s spring game. Of course, you won’t see DeMarvin Leal, who many were excited about. He is nursing a minor knee injury that has kept him out all of spring practice. He will be available for the summer practices though.

However, you will see a duo of linebackers that you should be getting quite excited about round about now. Andre White and RJ Orebo will both be on the field for this game as the team looks for replacements for Otaro Alaka and Tyrel Dodson. While there are some older faces on the team looking for those spots, I predict that these two guys are in the thick of the fight as well.

Like we mentioned before, Baylor Cupp the true freshman tight end is another big name to watch this spring game. Yes, Glenn Beal is good, especially at blocking. However, Cupp has the catching ability that we are all excited to see under new position coach Joe Jon Finley.

It would also seem that Kameron Brown has gotten some playing time at wide receiver, a seemingly already stacked position on the team. He did some walk throughs with the first team offense and that in itself should tell you a lot about this guy. Look for him to make a couple plays on Friday night.
