The 2019 Maroon and White game has officially come and gone, full of exciting moments. What did we learn about Texas A&M Football?

Texas A&M’s spring game saw a revolving door of players through four quarters, especially quarterbacks and running backs. It was an exciting game to watch and Jimbo Fisher has coached this team quite well as they prepare for summer and then fall camp. Simply put, if your name isn’t Braden Mann and you aren’t the defending Ray Guy Award winner, you were rotated in and out in this one.

Overall though, quite a few guys got playing time and we learned a bit about what this team has been up to in spring practice. Here are just a few of my takeaways from the spring game.

5. Is the offensive line a liability?

The biggest liability though that many people are circling is the offensive line. Let me tell you right now, those doubters would be wrong in that thought process.

This unit is going to be young. They return three starters, but will have a new center and that is a huge deal. However, that doesn’t mean that this unit is a liability or that they are going to drag this team down. Will there be some growing pains? Sure, especially for the center, one who isn’t set in stone as of yet. However, with what this unit faces off against week after week in practice in terms of defense, they should be quite strong come week one against Texas State.
