Notre Dame football held its annual spring game on Saturday and a handful of players improved their stocks heading into the 2019 season.

Brian Kelly has to feel good about his team after spring ball, heading into the 2019 season. The Irish are coming off their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance after an undefeated regular season and they have plenty of talent returning.

Starting quarterback Ian Book is back and he looked great this spring, potentially taking that next step under center and the backfield is loaded behind him despite losing Dexter Williams.

The defense could be the deciding factor if this team wants to make another playoff run, but the spring game provided fans a glimpse of who is ready to break out in 2019.

Which players improved their stocks during the 2019 spring game?

Jarrett Patterson one of the top National Signing Day gets for the Fighting Irish in 2018 out of Mission Viejo, Calif. He chose the Irish over the likes of Michigan and UCLA and gave them a guy who could have an instant impact on the offensive line and, at the very least as a freshman, provide depth.

Many believe Patterson should be the starting center for the Irish in 2019 as he played with the ones during the spring scrimmage and looked solid. He proved he can keep up with that starting line and be the heir apparent to Sam Mustipher in the middle.

This would be quite the transition for the sophomore lineman as he came in as a four-star offensive tackle, but making that switch will benefit him, as he will see the field more, as well as the team. He had a great spring and will likely lock down that center job by fall camp.
