1. Will we see a typical explosive Chip Kelly offense?

Chip Kelly has been known for his offenses. The Oregon Ducks of the past were some of the most explosive, exciting offensive teams in college football history and he even helped develop Marcus Mariota into a Heisman winner and the program into a national title contender.

That wasn’t quite on display in Kelly’s first season at UCLA.

The Bruins averaged just 393 yards and 24.6 points per game. He never got the program to new heights on offense, but granted, it was just his first season.

Kelly didn’t have his players in place yet and he was teaching an entirely new playbook. It’s difficult to turn an offense around completely, but if anyone can do it, it’s Kelly.

When he was hired, it was almost expected that he’d turn UCLA into one of the most explosive teams in the Pac-12, but the jury’s still out.
