By Dylan Broady
We are getting closer to the 2019 NFL Draft. We look forward in seeing who will be drafted in the first round and N’Keal Harry is one option.
The NFL Draft is just hours away and we wanted to highlight N’Keal Harry and why he makes such a great first round selection. We will first dive in and take a look at what brought him here in the first place.
As a true freshman, Harry was utilized from day one. He started all 12 games his freshman year while compiling 58 receptions, 659 receiving yards and five touchdowns, which led all freshmen that season.
Harry’s sophomore campaign was an even bigger splash as he became an All-Pac-12 first team member, leading the conference and finishing the year with 87 receiving yards per game, while compiling 82 receptions, 1,142 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns. He became an instant sensation nationwide. The talented wide out had another sensational year as a junior even though skipping his bowl game to focus on the NFL draft.
That junior season was nothing short of impressive as well. His consistency throughout his college career was astounding as he once again received first-team honors after he had 73 receptions, 1,088 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. That brought his college totals to 213 receptions, 2,889 receiving yards and 22 total touchdowns — well deserving of a first-round selection.
Harry will be a major big-time player for any team that takes him in the first round. His 6-3. 228-pound frame is absolutely perfect for an NFL wide receiver. If he slides out of the first round it would be an absolute shame.
There are rumors that the Seattle Seahawks could take him with their first selection and he’s visited the New Orleans Saints during a pre-draft visit. Big things are coming from this future All-Pro receiver.
