The Baltimore Ravens needed a talented wide receiver and they got him in the 2019 NFL Draft with electric playmaker Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown has battled through injuries, most recently his foot that may keep him out of OTAs and mini camp. That didn’t change the Ravens desire to have him on their team though as they add him to a depleted offense in which Michael Crabtree and John Brown are already headed out after short stints with the team. This team has had a revolving door of receivers for awhile, but Hollywood may just be one that the Ravens can hang their hat on.
In two seasons, he had 17 touchdowns on just under 2,500 yards receiving. He has the ability to make big time plays for Lamar Jackson. While Jackson can make plays of his own, he needs help and he is getting it in Hollywood Brown.
He averaged just over 18 yards a catch at Oklahoma, numbers that have Ravens fans chomping at the bit to get this guy on the field with Jackson and what will hopefully be an improved offensive line that won’t have Jackson running for his life.
The only issue? The kid is small and won’t be getting much bigger than he is right now. He makes up for that with his speed though and that is putting it mildly. Like I said, he averages 18 yards a catch. That doesn’t happen without being quick and explosive for Oklahoma and Kyler Murray. Now he has the ability to be just that for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. This could go down as one of the better additions in the NFL Draft.
