Loser: Todd Gurley

It was veteran bulldozing tailback CJ Anderson who led the Los Angeles Rams through the postseason. Todd Gurley was never listed with a major injury, but the man who many regarded as the best running back in the league suddenly had significant injury concerns.

Arthritis in his knees put his future in doubt. The selection of Darrell Henderson fanned those flames into a bonfire.

Henderson is a home run threat with lightning-quick twitch and breakaway speed. He finished less than 100 yards shy of 2,000 yards in his final season at Memphis, racking up 22 rushing touchdowns.

Los Angels gave up multiple third round picks to climb up in the draft to snag Memphis running back Darrell Henderson. Committing that level of capital in a position is notable. When combined with the concerns around Gurley’s health it appears the superstar tailback’s days in Los Angeles could be numbered.
