Winner: Miami Dolphins

The Josh Rosen buzz began in the mid-afternoon, well before Round 2 began in at 7:00 p.m. ET. The conversations continued, but the Miami Dolphins were shrewd with their draft assets. They could have handed the No. 48 overall pick to the Arizona Cardinals, instead they hung onto. Staying put was the right call.

Miami shipped the No. 48 pick to New Orleans Saints, picking up the No. 62 pick and a future 2020 second-round selection in the process. With an additional second-rounder in their pockets, Miami had no qualms sending the third-to-last pick of the second round to Arizona for Rosen.

Rosen was drafted with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2018 draft. Miami got him for the No. 62 selection. Not only is it a steal, but the trade came at virtually no cost following the New Orleans trade.

This trade is a win for all parties. Arizona needed to get rid of Rosen. Rosen needed a fresh start. Miami needed someone to be the long-term answer beyond Ryan Fitzpatrick. If Rosen flops, the Dolphins can take someone with one of their two second round picks in 2020.
