Oregon. Round 7. Dillon Mitchell. 8. player. 60.

Dillon Mitchell started 25 of 31 career games for the Ducks, totaling 119 catches for 1,710 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also contributed on special teams, returning 21 punts for 125 yards and three kickoffs for 49 yards.

Most of that came in 2018, though, when he racked up 1,184 yards and 10 touchdowns. He led the Pac-12 and set an Oregon single season record with those numbers.

He was a sixth round projection by most mock drafts, but fell to the seventh just in time for the Vikings to sweep him up as a high value pick that many were shocked was still on the board. He isn’t a DK Metcalf or a Riley Ridley, but he still has the ball skills that many teams are looking for.

The biggest worry about him is that he doesn’t take this seriously and because of that he won’t make the move to the NFL as well as someone else would. However, the Oregon faithful doesn’t seem to see him that way, of course. They see a guy who is steal for the seventh round and I’m inclined to agree. He has experience both on the outside as well as in the slot and has talented hands that could get better as he has to fight to make the official NFL roster.
