Oklahoma. Round 6. Rodney Anderson. 7. player. 56.

Many were surprised for the Bengals to take two running backs in the sixth round, but both Rodney Anderson and Trayveon Williams (who I discussed earlier) have a chance to make the final roster and both are steals in my book.

Anderson’s tenure at Oklahoma was one that many would see as explosive and exciting. However, he suffered multiple season-ending injuries that cut his freshman (leg), sophomore (neck) and senior (ACL) seasons short. This is a kid who would have gone much earlier if it wasn’t for the amount of injuries that have dotted his career at Oklahoma.

If Anderson can stay healthy, he can make an impact on the Cincinnati roster despite being one of five running backs currently on the roster.

As it stands now, he reminds many of Joe Mixon who is already on the roster and is one of the leading running backs for the team. If something were to happen to Mixon, it would seem that Anderson would be the ideal replacement.
