NFL Draft 2019: Top 10 biggest steals on Day 3
By Shelbie Warr
This is a guy that the Dallas Cowboys should be excited about as he was the guy who sat behind another one that they are always ecstatic about: Ezekiel Elliot. After Elliot left, though, it was the Mike Weber show at Ohio State as he was the workhorse of this team. He finished his career with upwards of 450 carries, 24 touchdowns and an average of 6.0 yards per carry.
Weber has room to grow, as every player that enters the NFL does. That being said, he could make an immediate impact for this team as a backup once again to Elliot.
Yes, the Cowboys drafted another running back earlier, but let me tell you right now that Weber was the steal of the Dallas Cowboys’ draft — a team that has had quite a bit of luck with Ohio State running backs.
The early entrant was expecting to be drafted in the first three rounds and if you have watched his game you know why. So, because of that, it isn’t surprising that he was a bit disappointed to go at the top of the seventh. All that being said though, he is ready to make an instant impact with Dallas.
