Denver added an intriguing weapon to their offense by drafting Iowa’s Noah Fant in the first round this year, and then turned around on day two and selected their quarterback of the future in Missouri’s Drew Lock. Joe Flacco will groom Lock and likely hold on to the starting gig next year, but 2020 could ultimately be Lock’s time to take over as the starter.

Regardless, the Broncos could have a need for a wide receiver. It always makes sense to bring in a young receiver to grow with your budding franchise quarterback. It could be a need anyway with Emmanuel Sanders set to hit free agency after next season.

Mel Kiper’s first big board for 2020 had Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy No. 2, behind only his quarterback. Jeudy should be the next first round Crimson Tide receiver. He won the Biletnikoff as the nation’s top receiver last season, and he could be in for an even bigger campaign as a junior.

Jeudy has absurd footwork with the ability to stop on a dime and make quick cuts that leaves defenders in the dust. He’s got excellent top end speed, constantly burning defensive backs in single coverage.

He had over 1300 receiving yards on 19.3 yards-per-catch and caught 14 touchdowns. He was Tagovailoa’s top target, and he’s versatile enough to play outside to come inside and play the slot role. He’s the consensus top receiver in the 2020 class, and he’s talented enough to be the first WR taken in the Top 10 since 2017.
