Tight End. Texas A&M. Jace Sternberger. 2. player. 49.

Keke isn’t the only player heading to Green Bay. Tight end Jace Sternberger is making the jump to the NFL and will be going to a team that needs strength at the tight end position. He has had quite the journey to get to where he is now. It started out at Kansas and when that didn’t work out, he made the move to community college- attending Northeastern Oklahoma- before finally landing at Texas A&M and basically reawakening the position in Aggieland.

“If you were to tell me (then) that Aaron Rodgers would be my quarterback in about four years, I would have laughed at you and called you a liar,” Sternberger said during a post draft interview. “But it’s why you prepare the way you do and God is great.”

Sternberger is one of the guys that could be an immediate starter at the NFL level. The Packers have struggled to find a reliable tight end over the last couple of years and now have banked on the young guy who averaged almost 15 yards a catch to put that position back on the map for them so to speak- much like he did at Texas A&M.
