Alabama football has a loaded roster for next season, which will likely lead to a  host of talented prospects entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

Alabama football once again led the nation with 10 draft picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. That’s not likely to change in 2020, as the Crimson Tide boasts a loaded roster that will have a bevy of talented prospects likely to hear their names called in next year’s draft.

Alabama’s 2020 NFL Draft class could make history. Currently, the record for most picks from a single school in the first round of the same draft is six. Miami set that mark in 2004, and while others have gotten close, no team has tied or surpassed it since.

Alabama has as many as 12 potential first round prospects that could be in the 2020 class depending on who declares for the draft early and who returns for one final season in Tuscaloosa. It won’t place 12 in the first round next year, but numerous early mock drafts have the Tide with as many as seven or eight first round picks, which would set the record.

That’s why narrowing down this list to just five is difficult. There’s going to be several omissions you are likely to notice, but I’m only choosing five here, which means talented players such as Trevon Diggs, Xavier McKinney, Henry Ruggs, and Najee Harris won’t make the cut, even though each player would likely occupy the top spot at numerous other college football programs.

Along with a record number of players potentially being first round picks, Alabama might also see a record number of underclassmen declare for the draft. Nick Saban brought in a ridiculously loaded 2017 recruiting class that will become draft eligible for the first time in 2020.

That adds to the pressure for Alabama’s 2019 team as they look to capture a national championship before a legitimate (at least in Alabama standards) rebuilding year takes place in 2020.

Here are Alabama’s top five prospects for the 2020 NFL Draft.
