3. Van Jefferson, WR

As another Gator player who decided to return for his senior season instead of jumping to the NFL, Van Jefferson has the opportunity to positively-effect his draft stock during the 2019 season. Jefferson will lead an elite group of wide receivers looking to increase their production from last year.

In his first season with the Gators, Jefferson hauled in 35 receptions for 503 yards and six touchdowns. With better quarterback play being promised, the methodical and reliable Jefferson’s stats could traverse into the gaudy range.

He’s already established himself as a redzone threat because of his size and verticality and a sure-handed and brave slant target. He also seems to have developed good chemistry with Feleipe Franks who might look for Jefferson more down the field as his confidence continues to flourish.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 197 pounds, Jefferson has the measurables NFL teams look for in a modern wide receiver. He’s also sure-handed, a polished route-runner and fast enough to be considered a threat over the top.

If he can produce in a big way in 2019 and maybe add a few more pounds of muscle to his frame, expect to see Jefferson rise on NFL draft boards and be selected early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
