Following the 2019 NFL Draft in which six Notre Dame football players were drafted, it’s time to look forward to who might hear their names called in 2020.

With tight end Alize Mack marking the 504th Notre Dame player ever drafted, at least one Irish athlete has heard his name called in 83 of the last 84 drafts. This is an incredible feat for the school and serves as a testament to the program’s consistency when it comes to developing NFL talent.

As for the 2019 draft, the Irish produced one first round pick in Jerry Tillery (Chargers), one third round pick in Miles Boykin (Ravens), two fourth round picks in Julian Love (Giants) and Drue Tranquill (Chargers) with Dexter Williams (Packers) and Alize Mack (NO Saints) rounding out the team’s day three selections.

Te’von Coney and Nick Coleman along with Alex Bars and Sam Mustipher were both added in pairs as UDFAs by the Oakland Raiders and Chicago Bears, respectively. Punter Tyler Newsome marks the third Irish player who will have a crack at making the Chargers roster in 2019.

It’s worth keeping an eye on these players as they attempt to navigate the NFL, but it’s also worth taking a look at those on the roster today and how they might make a name for themselves on the next level. Here’s a few Notre Dame players who could find themselves drafted in 2020.
