Along with Eric Gregory, fellow four-star defensive end early enrollee Mataio Soli impressed early this spring and kept things going through the team scrimmage.

Soli and Gregory might be forming one of the best defensive end duos in the conference before too long after combining for seven tackles and three sacks in the spring game. They may not be in line to take over as starters right away, but these are Chad Morris’ guys and they’re going to see plenty of action in year one.

The freshman end from Douglasville, Ga., has reportedly gained about 22 pounds since getting to camping this winter which puts him up near the 6-foot-4, 250-pound range which is suitable to see extensive action in the SEC.

That body paid dividends in the spring game with great burst off the line and strength to get into the backfield for a tackle for loss as well as a sack.

Arkansas’ defensive line is looking brighter by the day.
