Arkansas is looking for something — anything — to spark a turnaround on the defensive side of the ball, and that may come from early enrollee freshman Devin Bush.

Not to be confused with top-10 NFL draft pick Devin Bush from Michigan, Arkansas’ version still has four years of eligibility remaining, and if he plays like he did in the spring game throughout his Razorback career, he may have the same fate as the Wolverines’ star — leaving a year early for the NFL and getting drafted.

It’s way too early for that type of speculation, but the four-star defensive back looked like a star in the spring game, providing one of the most exciting plays of the afternoon, a 55-yard pick-six off an errant John Stephen Jones pass.

Bush has had a strong spring and that was just the play to cap it all off. He’s going to be a consistent contributor in the secondary but anyone who has watched his high school highlight reel isn’t all that surprised.

Watch for Bush to become one of the rising stars in the SEC for years to come.
