The 2019 spring game is in the books and Georgia football has high expectations. Which Bulldogs are trending up after spring ball?

Kirby Smart has worked wonders with Georgia football in his short time in Athens but he believes this is just the start as beating Alabama is always the goal. The Bulldogs have shown the ability to take down the Tide, but not on a regular basis — but it’s always competitive.

There’s still plenty of work to do and the Bulldogs got started on that this spring with a strong performance all around. The defense has looked better than the offense, which is usually the case, but there were breakout stars on both sides of the ball.

Which Bulldogs are trending up after spring ball?

Redshirt freshman Azeez Ojulari, younger brother of BJ, has been one of the more impressive defenders this spring and his rise all started back in the Sugar Bowl when D’Andre Walker was out. He was forced into action and finished with three tackles.

Ojulari, a former four-star recruit, played in just three games as a freshman and was able to retain his redshirt and could see plenty of time at one of the outside linebacker spots.

Kirby Smart has had high praise for Ojulari this spring, according to DawgNation.

"“He’s playing better,” Smart said. “Not where he needs to be, he’s got to get more physical, he’s got to go play on Andrew (Thomas) and Isaiah (Wilson). But, he’s playing a lot better because of what he did for the bowl game as opposed to just starting now.”"

The Bulldogs have yet another stud linebacker rising up the depth chart and he could break out  in 2019.
