As mentioned before, Tylan Knight and Elijah Moore have been battling it out all spring for that starting slot receiver job. The spring game didn’t provide a clear No. 1 as Knight led all receivers with 91 yards and a touchdown on five catches while Moore had a team-high eight catches for 79 yards. Both looked more than serviceable.

Heading into the summer, Matt Luke will have a heck of a decision to make on that front, but Moore, too, had an incredible spring and if it were anyone other than Knight breaking out, he would have already locked up the job.

Unlike Knight, Moore actually has experience at the position and at least has caught a pass at the college level in a live game. He finished his freshman season with 36 catches for 398 yards and two touchdowns. He’s the team’s lead returning receiver, but he’s duking it out with a former running back for slot snaps.

Will Knight affect his playing time? Probably not as Luke will find a way to get both on the field extensively, but this position battle will be one to watch anyway.
