2. Florida @ LSU (Oct. 12)

This is another tough game Florida has on their schedule this season. The Gators might have one of the toughest conference schedules in the SEC this year. Directly after hosting Auburn, they will have to travel to Death Valley to take on the LSU Tigers.

There’s no reason to expect this game to be anything but a night game, and night games in Death Valley are incredibly tough. Feleipe Franks will have to have a stellar game for Florida to go into Baton Rouge and upset the Tigers.

LSU has the best chance to upset Alabama in the SEC West. They’re going to have to be able to go into Tuscaloosa in November with a chance at that title. To do this, they are going to have to avoid losses to teams like Florida.

Between Franks and a stable duo at running back, Florida has the offense to upset LSU. They’re just going to have to make some big plays down the field against Grant Delpit and the LSU secondary.

As Dan Mullen coaches against another familiar foe in the SEC West, he will use his skills as an offensive mind and quarterback developer to give Florida their best chance. This will be a pivotal game no matter who wins, and it will go a long way in telling us who the best teams in the SEC are. Alabama, Georgia, and other top SEC teams will keep their eyes on this result in October.
