Keith Taylor has been waiting for this opportunity. Playing in a loaded secondary can’t be fun for someone who is clinging onto a spot in the two-deep, but Taylor kept with it and has learned a ton at the cornerback position and even filled in for an injured Jordan Miller last season. He played in 10 games and finished with 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and three pass breakups.

It seemed as if Taylor was an offseason away from truly becoming a star in the Huskies’ secondary and he took that next step this spring.

Projected as a starter at cornerback, Taylor looked the part in spring ball, becoming one of the most consistent players on the defensive side of the ball. His defensive coordinator raved about him and teammates have praised his work ethic as well.

The Washington secondary is looking to reload and develop some vocal leaders and with Taylor entering his junior year as one of the up-and-comers in the Pac-12, this could be his time to shine. He had an impressive spring and now heads into the summer with all the momentum.
