Not many people are giving Washington enough credit for their plethora of weapons at skill positions on the offensive side of the ball. Marquis Spiker is the next in line at receiver.

Spiker may not have any experience as he redshirted in 2018, but he was a former top-60 recruit and looked like a guy who could have come in right away and competed last season. He didn’t because of the amount of talent Washington had in front of him, but this seems to be the season he could truly break out.

Aaron Fuller and Ty Jones were both injured this spring and it gave Spiker a chance to prove himself and he did just that.

Jacob Eason and Spiker have developed quite the connection this spring and even hooked up for a 65-yard touchdown during the scrimmage. If that connection continues to grow, this offense will be terrifying with Fuller, Jones, Baccellia and Spiker.

Big moves were made by Spiker this spring with Fuller and Jones out.
