2. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

Speak of the devil. Tua Tagovailoa has to be near the top of this list, right? He’s one of the two faces of college football. He’s got the talent, the program backing, the history, and the likability that is necessary to be a cover athlete.

Tua is the best athlete on the best team. He might be the best athlete in all of college football. He won the National Championship as a freshman with a comeback performance for the ages. He has the touch and accuracy that would be vital in the video game, and he also scrambles well. He would be one of the highest rated players this season, and he would definitely earn that distinction.

There’s not really any reason not to put Tua on the cover. He is respectful, he can clearly handle the media, and he’s a baller. Gamers will flood the stores just for a chance to play the game as Tua Tagovailoa. It would truly be a home run decision.

There might be one guy that is above Tua, however. He has an extra year of college eligibility, and he just came off a victory against Tua’s Tide in the National Championship Game in Santa Clara.
