Arkansas Razorbacks: Win two SEC games

This sounds like it shouldn’t be that hard of a goal for the Arkansas Razorbacks to achieve, but the Razorbacks are in the middle of a tough rebuild in one of the toughest divisions in college football. Last season, Arkansas went an abysmal 2-10 and lost every single game on their SEC schedule. They will hopefully become a better team in Chad Morris’s second season as head coach.

If Arkansas wants to win two SEC games this year, they are going to have to have tremendous growth at the quarterback position. Last season, Ty Storey threw for 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. You’re simply not going to beat SEC West teams with that kind of quarterback production.

Whether it’s Missouri, Kentucky, or Ole Miss, Arkansas has to win at least two SEC games if they want a chance at bowl eligibility. They’ll also have to avoid an upset in their non-conference schedule, which was something they could not avoid last year.

Hopes can’t be too high for Arkansas this season. However, you have to set some sort of achievable goals. Maybe one upset victory is more achievable, but I’m going to remain optimistic for this Razorback team as they try to ruffle some feathers this regular season. If they fail to win two games in the SEC, I’m not sure how many more seasons Chad Morris will get as their head coach.
