4. Alabama has talent returning from injuries

Injuries are always a pain for any team to overcome, but Alabama suffered from the injury bug more than most. Last season, the Tide lost Terrell Lewis, Chris Allen, and Trevon Diggs to injuries. Chris Allen is a good player with a bright future with Alabama, but Diggs and Lewis are clearly the big losses.

Lewis is a quality pass rusher that has the athletic ability to get double-digit sacks next season. If he can play a complete healthy season, he will fill in for losing Christian Miller as an outside linebacker.

Trevon Diggs is a lockdown corner. As the defensive line learns to get through life without Quinnen Williams, Diggs will buy them some time as he locks down the other team’s best receiver. He will also be important if the Tide want to beat Clemson as Justyn Ross explodes onto the scene as a sophomore.

Another quality player that will return from injury is Tua. He never lost a start due to injury, but he was never his true self after suffering knee and ankle injuries. Assuming he avoids another injury, there will be no excuse as to why he can’t be his typical self late into the season.

I know the injury bug hits every team at some point during the season, but it will be an asset for the Tide to get these players back after missing them last season.
