3. Michael Redding III, 4-star WR

Michael Redding III is a talented wide receiver with slick routes that help get him separation at the high school level. An IMG Academy product, Redding will bring a lot of offensive firepower to any team he joins.

At 6-foot-1, Redding can potentially play inside or outside at receiver, but I would assume he will play in the slot. It will mostly depend on if he gains weight in college. Either way, he will ball. If he chooses to play for Notre Dame, he will have to do that early. Notre Dame will have a mass exodus of offensive talent after this year, and any help will be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure who will replace Ian Book at quarterback once he graduates, but they are going to need a few key receivers to rely on as they get used to being the starting quarterback at Notre Dame.

However, Irish fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too much just yet. It’s no guarantee that Redding will be wearing a golden dome when he plays in college. He might end up wearing the garnet and gold of Florida State. Michigan has also showed a lot of interest in Redding, so there will certainly be other suiters for the four-star receiver.

If I had to pick Notre Dame vs. the field, I would probably take the field. That being said, there is still a good chance that Michael Redding will play for Brian Kelly when it’s all said and done, and that is great news for Notre Dame recruiting.
