The Mike MacIntyre era in Boulder is officially over after a 5-7 season which saw the Buffaloes start 5-0 with Pac-12 title hopes before dropping seven straight games to end the year without a bowl appearance. It was one of the biggest meltdowns in all of college football — you know it’s bad when you lose to Oregon State at home.

Colorado will travel to Utah hoping to end the season on a high note, and who knows, Mel Tucker’s team might have a bowl game riding on this one.

Utah won’t be so kind to the visiting Buffaloes, however. Tyler Huntley and the offense will struggle early on but find success against a middle-tier Colorado defense in the second half to put the game away for good.

There will still be some shaky play after one of the most disappointing losses of the past few years at Arizona which may have smashed any hope for the playoff berth, but the Utes will still find a way to come out on top.

Even with that disappointing loss to Arizona, this season will be seen as a success for the Utes, finishing with 10 regular season wins and another trip to the conference title game.

Final Score: Colorado 13, Utah 27 (10-2, 7-2)
