Herm Edwards has begun the turnaround of the Arizona State football program, but he has had some help from a few NFL buddies — and has recently added Marvin Lewis to the staff.

Unfortunately for Edwards, he’s losing Manny Wilkins at quarterback and the starting job will likely be down to Dillon Sterling-Cole and talented freshman Jayden Daniels. Both have what it takes to lead the team, but it’ll be interesting to see if Sterling-Cole’s experience will trump Daniels’ raw talent.

By this point in the season, the quarterback battle should be decided and I’m going to guess Sterling-Cole wins the job. He’ll be tasked with taking down a tough Utah team on the road, and it won’t go over too well. We might actually see both quarterbacks in this one as Sterling-Cole will struggle through the first 30 minutes against Utah’s stingy defense.

An early pick-six will set the tone for the game as Utah will take a 7-0 lead before Arizona State can really catch its breath. The game will be relatively close from that point on and Eno Benjamin will put on a show with his legs — like he usually does.

In the end, though, Utah will have the last laugh thanks to some spectacular throws made by Tyler Huntley down the stretch to capture a seventh straight win to open the season.

Final Score: Arizona State 20, Utah 27 (7-0, 4-0)
