Bru McCoy has had a change of heart yet again, entering the transfer portal on Friday afternoon and reportedly planning a return to USC football.

A few months ago, if I would have told you Bru McCoy would be entering the transfer portal with the intention of heading back home to play for Clay Helton and USC, you would have called me crazy.

Fast forward to May 31 and the stud freshman, ranked the No. 9 recruit in the country in 2019, has gone from USC signee to Texas receiver and now back to Trojan-lean.

On Friday afternoon, a public statement from McCoy was released on Twitter and the internet absolutely exploded.

In his statement, he revealed that he was planning on “coming home” which means that USC is the likely destination for his transfer — which isn’t much of a surprise. He spent his time in Austin, probably experienced home-sickness and wanted to come back. Either that or Texas wasn’t what he had expected.

No matter what the reason for his transfer was, it didn’t stop the internet from either displaying pure shock, trolling or just congratulating the young kid.

Obviously, the happiest social media users were USC fans who didn’t think a return was possible a few months back, but there are still plenty of doubters.

How did Twitter respond to the huge news?

The former five-star receiver and Santa Ana, Calif., native should contend for early playing time whenever he’s ruled eligible, but don’t expect that to be 2019 as he will be forced to sit a year, barring some crazy waiver exception.
