Although recruiting is not what it used to be and nothing can be taken seriously, LSU football commit Rakim Jarrett is making waves on social media.

There’s a saying in recruiting: Don’t read too much into it. But it’s hard not to notice what five-star LSU wide receiver commit Rakim Jarrett has done to his social media pages.

The talented Washington, D.C., native removed all of his LSU-related posts from Twitter and his bio no longer mentions the fact that he’s committed to the Tigers which he has been since the end of April.

Although this could mean nothing, usually recruits do this type of thing when they have a change of heart and there’s talk that he could be taking an official visit to Tennessee which was considered the favorite — along with Ohio State — to land him before he picked LSU.

Jeremy Pruitt may not have had a ton of success on the field in his first year with the Volunteers, but if he can pull off a flip of this magnitude from a top SEC foe, he could make some serious noise in the conference and put the entire nation on notice.

LSU has some work to do if it wants to keep Jarrett committed to its 2020 class. He’s arguably the most sought-after receiver target in the class, ranked the No. 19 prospect in the nation and third-best receiver, according to 247Sports.

Ed Orgeron could have a major recruiting battle on his hands, especially if that official visit to Tennessee does happen. Jarrett could be on flip watch sooner rather than later.
