Spring ball has passed and now we look to the future, to the fall and Texas A&M football’s 2019 season. Let’s talk some bold predictions for the Aggies.

Texas A&M had a spring full of new names and shuffling. With so many departing for the NFL, this team had — and still has — holes to fill.

Now, they are starring down the barrel of a loaded schedule and have quite a bit to do to get ready for what lies ahead. The season looks to be quite exciting and could end up a lot of ways, so let’s talk bold predictions, shall we?

5. This season will be won, or lost, on the road

Texas A&M’s schedule is a daunting one to be sure. However, the Aggies aren’t getting the benefit of playing those many scary games on home soil. The majority of those games are on the road and it will not be an easy fight by a long shot for this one. The team goes to defending national champion Clemson, to Georgia and then to LSU.

Of course, there are a couple of tough games at home — for example, Alabama and Mississippi State. Both of those have been thorns in the side of Texas A&M, but those two don’t measure up to the three road games that will very easily define whether this season is a win or a loss for Jimbo Fisher and his staff when it comes down to it.

Simply put, the road games this season will be the deciding factor on how well this season goes. Win two out of three? People are happy and still excited about Jimbo. Win one or less? The reactions may not be as welcoming to the second-year Texas A&M head coach.
