Ole Miss is another team coming off a rough season in SEC play, just like Arkansas, which makes this matchup even more intriguing. Both teams should be headed back toward bowl eligibility in 2019 but the Rebels may have just a bit more offensive firepower, at least early in the year, but this one could go either way.

Jordan Ta’amu is gone as are AJ Brown, DK Metcalf and DaMarkus Lodge but the offense shouldn’t be a pushover with highly-touted redshirt freshman quarterback Matt Corral at the helm along with a group of young, talented wide outs, led by breakout candidate Elijah Moore.

In the backfield, Ole Miss has one of the SEC’s top backs in senior Scottie Phillips returning after a big junior season with 928 yards and 12 touchdowns on 6.1 yards per touch.

Arkansas will be able to hang offensively with Ben Hicks and Rakeem Boyd along with stud freshman wide out Trey Knox, but the Rebels will have home-field advantage while taking an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Arkansas won’t be able to catch up, trailing for most, if not the entirety, of the game.

Final Score: Arkansas 28, Ole Miss 38 (1-1, 0-1 SEC)
