Arkansas Football: Post-spring game-by-game predictions for 2019
Mike Bobo’s tenure at Colorado State has been somewhat of a rocky one. The Rams went 7-6 in his first year, followed by two more 7-6 campaigns before dropping back and going just 3-9 in 2018 which put his job in jeopardy.
Heading into his fifth season with the Rams, his team will be starting an unproven quarterback a year after accounting for the nation’s No. 108 scoring offense and 60th-best total offense.
Arkansas will get a chance to bounce back against one of the Mountain West’s middle-of-the-pack teams and take advantage of the No. 111 defense in the country. The Razorbacks will put up points early and often and for the third straight game to start the season, Rakeem Boyd will put up over 100 yards and he’ll add another two touchdowns.
Ben Hicks will also have a solid game against a mediocre defensive backfield which returns just two starters after allowing 232 yards per game through the air a year ago.
Expect a coming out party for freshman wide receiver Trey Knox. Arkansas will exact revenge for last year’s ugly loss in Fort Collins.
Final Score: Colorado State 21, Arkansas 38 (2-1)
