With spring in the books, it is time to revisit the Texas A&M football depth chart as we head into summer camp. Who made moves after spring ball?

Texas A&M has completed spring ball and is now looking forward to summer and eventually fall camp before the 2019 season kicks off. With the majority of the front end of the defense and some big time producers on offense headed off to the NFL, there are plenty of spots to fill and quite a few guys to fill them.

Without further ado, let’s talk depth chart, starting with special teams.

Special Teams

Starting punter: Braden Mann
Backup: Questionable

This one isn’t even a question. He is the reigning Ray Guy Award winner as the nation’s best punter and ended up as the punter for both teams during the spring game. That is all well and good, especially with how good Braden Mann is, but there is no back up as it stands and that could be a big time issue if something were to happen to him at some point in the season.

Starting kicker: Seth Small
Backup: Caden Davis

Seth Small, the now sophomore kicker, had some ups and downs in 2018. He struggled to make kicks that many fans believed should be the easier ones to make, but all Aggie fans can do now is hope that he has gotten better with another spring practice under his belt and will continue to do that during summer and fall camps. If he doesn’t, there is a true freshman in Caden Davis just waiting for his chance.

Starting returner: Roshauud Paul
Backup: Jashuan Corbin

This one is an up in the air position for me. While this is what I believe to be the two-deep heading into summer ball, this could change. Paul has the speed and ability to be a strong returner. However, he has shown that he isn’t the most secure with the ball at times and that can be a bit scary for a coach for sure. Jashuan Corbin could fill that hole, but with him likely as the starting running back, I don’t see him as the starting returner for 2019 at this point.
